After our bat walk and talk on 12th August we are now taking the next steps to start up a Bat Group for the local area. We are being supported by Kelly Bow and the Bat Conservation Trust who can provide training and equipment.

Next steps

We will be having a Zoom meeting on Thursday 20th August at 7:30pm. I realise that this is short notice but we need to get the project moving forwards while the offer of funding is still there.

I will be sending an email with details of the meeting to those of you that have already asked to be involved. If you do not receive one, or would like to be added to the email list then please let us know through our contact form.

If you are unable to make this meeting it is fine as we can keep you up to date and send you all the relevant information by email afterwards. In the meantime, here are a few links to further information that you might find useful before the meeting:

There are also a few resources on the BCT website about bat surveying, dotted around the website eg. https://www.bats.org.uk/about-bats/bat-detectors-1
