Submit your sightings

Please use the form below to submit your sighting. There are other methods to submit sightings, as shown on our ‘submit your sightings’ page.

Preferably a grid reference or lat-long. If you don't have this then a verbal description will help.
Eg. habitat, behaviour, quantity etc

The data submitted will be used within the Oban Nature Network project, and will be handled and stored by Argyll Biological Records Centre. Their Data Access Policy can be viewed on their website. The record will also be added to their database which is then uploaded to the NBN Atlas, a free to access website that makes biological records available to statutory bodies, researchers, members of the public, educational establishments etc. Any sensitive or protected species have their location shown as a kilometre square rather than a point, for protection.
